Gosport to Bursledon, United Kingdom
First day of Day Skipper! We first started off with some parking maneuver practices in the port which went very smooth. After that, we were ready to head off for our first sail to Osborne bay. I found it quite tricky at first allocating all the preparation work to the crew while also planning the passage but it seems like I just over complicated the planning 😅 (was calculating course to steer for each small waypoint..) We ended up simplifying the passage by just using the buoys as waypoints and made it to the bay and anchored there for lunch. We were gonna stay at Cowes but everything was booked up so we did an unexpected night sail across the channel! It was a perfect night sail with fireworks 🎆 Was difficult to read the wind at night while helming but that was a great practice. For dinner we had some great curry made by Lou 💯

This was a fun one! I’ve sailed a bit already but I’ve been learning the basics this weekend! Highlight of the day was coming into Cowes during sunset 🌅

Great first day of the day skipper for my friends. We had some fantastic sailing with both reefs in up to 30kn at points - Whizzing along. Lunch in Osborne bay. Sailed off of Anchor for practice. Great! Tried out some ferry gliding techniques into a strong ebb tide next to Cowes Yacht Haven. Then finished up night sailing from Cowes to Hamble river watching the fireworks light up the coastline 🎆🎇😍
